The main problem with the HP Envy x360 range is the hinge design. They get too stiff, and the force just rips the brass mounts out of the plastic lid. We don't just glue them back – we properly rebuild the mounting points so they're stronger than new. EliteBook keyboards (£129–£199) are another regular job; we can often swap the whole top case in a couple of hours. We always look after your data during a hardware fix, but it's always smart to have a backup just in case. Our workshop's near Lakedale Rd with on-street parking. Prices include VAT.
