Terms & Conditions
Last updated: March 2026
1. Services
Computer Clinic provides laptop, computer, and device repair services including but not limited to screen replacement, keyboard replacement, battery replacement, motherboard repair, data recovery, virus removal, RAM & SSD upgrades, and operating system installation. We also build custom PCs to order.
2. Free Diagnostics
We offer free diagnostics on all devices. If you choose not to proceed with a repair after diagnosis, there is no charge. We will contact you with a quote before carrying out any paid work.
3. No Fix, No Fee
If we are unable to repair your device, you will not be charged for the repair attempt. This does not apply to data recovery services where specialist work has been carried out, or where parts have been ordered at the customer's request.
4. Pricing & Payment
All repair quotes are provided before work begins. Prices may vary depending on parts availability and device model. We accept cash, card, and bank transfer. Final payment is due upon the satisfactory completion of the work, and is payable when you collect your device.
5. Warranty
All repairs carry a 90-day warranty covering the specific repair carried out. This warranty does not cover new faults unrelated to the original repair, accidental damage, liquid damage, or software issues arising after the repair. Custom PC builds carry a 12-month warranty on parts and labour.
6. Device Collection
Devices must be collected within 30 days of notification that the repair is complete. Where a device remains uncollected, we deal with it in accordance with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977: we will send you written notice giving our details, a description of the device, any amount owed, and the date on or after which we intend to sell it, and we will allow at least three months from that notice before any sale. Any proceeds of sale are held for you less the sums owed to us and the reasonable costs of sale. Full details are in our Repair Terms & Conditions.
7. Data & Liability
For a normal repair booking we record only your name and telephone number, together with details of the device and the fault. While we take every precaution, Computer Clinic is not liable for data loss during repairs, and customers are advised to back up all data before submitting devices for repair.
Devices may contain your own personal files. We do not intentionally access files unrelated to the repair; access is limited to what is reasonably necessary to diagnose, repair and test the fault, or to carry out a service you have specifically requested such as data recovery, data transfer, malware removal or a drive clone. A device password or passcode is not recorded as part of normal job sheet information and is only requested where it is needed for that particular repair.
8. Third-Party Parts
Some repairs may use compatible third-party parts rather than OEM parts. We will inform you if this is the case. All parts used are quality-tested and covered by our warranty.
9. Limitation of Liability
Computer Clinic's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific repair in question.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
